Publicis Wins Gilead Sciences’ U.S. Media Account

Published on: August 24, 2026

Publicis has secured the U.S. media account of pharmaceutical company Gilead Sciences following a competitive review that was initiated earlier this year, according to media reports.

The appointment moves the account to Publicis after it was previously handled by agencies within Interpublic Group of Cos. (IPG). The account was subsequently placed under review in April, following Omnicom’s acquisition of IPG.

Gilead Sciences is a global biopharmaceutical company with a portfolio spanning several therapeutic areas. The company is particularly recognised for its HIV medicines, including Emtriva and Complera, while its wider portfolio covers treatments and products related to liver diseases, oncology, cardiovascular conditions and other health areas. Gilead also markets Tamiflu.

Publicis’ appointment adds another major healthcare media account to its portfolio as pharmaceutical companies continue to place greater emphasis on data-driven media strategies and targeted audience engagement.
