Bunnings has renewed its media agency partnership with PHD Aotearoa, part of Omnicom Oceania, following a competitive review in New Zealand. The decision extends a relationship that has lasted 24 years, making it one of the longest-running agency partnerships in the local market.
The continued association reflects the strength of a collaboration shaped by shared achievements and a focus on future growth. Over more than two decades, the partnership has adapted to evolving customer behaviour, changing market conditions and shifting business needs, supporting Bunnings through different phases of its growth in New Zealand.
PHD Aotearoa’s long-standing experience with the retailer has also helped build an in-depth understanding of its business. This knowledge, developed over 24 years, remains a key advantage as both organisations continue to work together.
Abby Parkin, CEO of PHD Aotearoa, Omnicom Oceania, said: “Our partnership with Bunnings has endured because we’ve continued to evolve and challenge the work we produce together.
“We’re incredibly proud of our 24-year partnership with Bunnings and grateful for the confidence they’ve continued to place in our team. The pitch process gave us a great opportunity to reflect on all that we’ve achieved together and time to build a vision for what’s to come,” adds Parkin.
PHD represents Bunnings in both Australia and New Zealand, supporting a connected Australia-New Zealand (ANZ) media strategy that combines regional coordination with local market expertise. The arrangement enables closer strategic alignment, quicker exchange of insights and innovation, and consistent media planning while retaining country-specific perspectives.
Through this integrated approach, Bunnings aims to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of its media investment across the region while ensuring its strategy remains relevant to each market.
