Omnicom has announced the global integration of its media agencies Mediahub and Hearts & Science, with Hearts & Science CEO Garrett O’Reilly set to lead the combined international business.
Despite the global restructuring, Omnicom has confirmed that the move will not impact the operating structure of its agencies in Australia. Mediahub and Hearts & Science will continue to function as independent agencies under the company’s existing local operating model.
The only change for the Australian market will be a refreshed brand identity for Hearts & Science, which is scheduled to roll out next month. Apart from the rebranding, the agencies will continue serving clients with the same leadership teams, capabilities, and operational structure.
An Omnicom spokesperson confirmed that the local market will remain unaffected by the global merger.
“Mediahub and Hearts & Science are coming together across our markets globally. In Australia, however, there will be no change to the way either agency operates,” the spokesperson said.
“This reflects our unique Australian operating model, where both agencies operate independently.
“The only change locally is that Hearts & Science will adopt a new brand identity next month. Beyond that, it is very much business as usual. Our clients will continue to be supported by the same teams, the same leadership and the same capabilities they know and trust.”
The company added that the approach allows it to align with the global restructuring while preserving the successful operating model already established in Australia.
“This evolution reflects the strength of our global network, while preserving the local model that continues to serve our clients successfully in Australia,” the spokesperson said.
