HBO Max has elevated Ruhee Patel to the position of Director, Originals Marketing, marking a new milestone in her career with the streaming platform. Patel announced the promotion through a post on LinkedIn, highlighting her continued journey within the company’s originals marketing team.
In her new role, Patel will take on broader responsibilities across the marketing strategy and promotion of HBO Max’s original content portfolio, supporting the platform’s efforts to strengthen audience engagement and brand visibility.
Prior to this appointment, Patel served as Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy, HBO & Max Originals, a position she held from April 2024 to June 2026. Before that, she worked as Strategy Manager, HBO Max Originals Marketing from November 2021 to April 2024 and earlier as Strategy Coordinator, HBO Max Originals Marketing from June 2020 to November 2021.
Patel’s career in entertainment marketing began before joining HBO Max. She spent nearly three years at Paramount Pictures, where she worked as a Brand Marketing Assistant from 2018 to 2020 after starting as a Home Media Distribution International Intern.
Earlier in her professional journey, she held leadership roles at the UCLA Cultural Affairs Commission, serving as Marketing Co-Director and previously as a member of the marketing team, helping drive promotional initiatives and audience engagement programs.
Beyond entertainment marketing, Patel has gained experience across public relations, publishing, and communications through roles with Cavalry Public Relations, Daily Bruin, and Kingston, building a diverse foundation in brand storytelling and strategic communications.
With a strong track record across content marketing, brand strategy, and audience development, Patel’s promotion reflects HBO Max’s confidence in her ability to lead originals marketing initiatives as the platform continues to expand its content offerings and global reach.
