GroupM’s leadership changes in Hong Kong, marked by the departure of CEO Alice Chow, Mindshare’s Managing Director Irene Tsui, GroupM Hong Kong’s CFO Carlton Kwan, and EssenceMediaCom’s APAC Chief Commercial Officer Gilles Detanger, the agency has made another significant announcement. Arshan Saha, the GroupM Nexus APAC CEO, will also take on the role of GroupM’s CEO in Singapore, effective immediately.
Saha was appointed APAC CEO of GroupM Nexus in August 2022, having previously served as CEO of Xaxis. As a founding member of Xaxis’ regional team, he led its expansion into 16 markets over a decade.
In his new role as CEO of GroupM Singapore, Saha will oversee the growth of WPP’s data arm, Choreograph, and collaborate with agency leaders at Mindshare, Wavemaker, and EssenceMediaCom to drive business development. Given Singapore’s strategic importance as an APAC hub, Saha will work closely with GroupM’s Southeast Asia CEO, Himanshu Shekhar, who manages operations in Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
GroupM Nexus was established in April 2022, aiming to integrate GroupM’s addressable content and TV, AI technology (Copilot), and omnichannel solutions from Finecast, Xaxis, and GroupM Services into one entity.
