Vero Insurance, a Suncorp New Zealand brand and a major general and specialist insurer, has appointed Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand as its creative agency following a competitive pitch.
Under the new partnership, Saatchi & Saatchi NZ will work with Vero across brand strategy, creative development, digital and social content, with the objective of strengthening the insurer’s connection with consumers across New Zealand.
Vero has also selected Spark Foundry NZ as its media agency. The agency will be responsible for media strategy, planning and buying for the brand.
Campbell Hodgetts, Executive Manager, Corporate Affairs and Marketing, Vero Insurance, said both agencies distinguished themselves through their approach, ideas and ambition.
“Saatchi & Saatchi impressed us during the pitching process with their innovative approach and strong creative thinking,” Campbell said.
“We were particularly drawn to their ability to use creativity and data not just to uncover the obvious growth opportunities, but to find those others might miss. Spark Foundry also stood out for its fresh, forward-thinking approach to media, with a focus on helping our work cut through and deliver impact.
“As a business, Vero has a strong foundation and a proud history in New Zealand. We see an opportunity to share that strength more meaningfully and more consistently with Kiwis, and we’re excited to be working with Saatchi & Saatchi and Spark Foundry to bring that to life in new and compelling ways.”
Alongside its new creative and media partnerships, Vero is already working with Digitas NZ on a digital transformation programme. The collaboration includes the redevelopment of Vero’s website, with an updated structure and tailored navigation designed to improve the experience for customers and brokers.
Vero provides a broad portfolio of insurance products through brokers, advisers and corporate partners, combining specialist expertise with guidance to help customers make informed insurance decisions.
Work under the new agency partnerships has already begun, with the first output expected to roll out later this year.
