Paramount Chief Revenue Officer Jay Askinasi has been appointed to lead Advertising Sales at the newly merged Paramount Skydance entity following its reported $110 billion merger with Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD). The appointment was announced by JB Perrette, Co-Chair and Chief Business Officer of Skydance TV and Skydance DTC, as the combined company moves to consolidate commercial operations across linear television, digital platforms and streaming services.
The leadership changes also include appointments in content sales and distribution. David Decker has been named President of Content Sales, while Ray Hopkins will take on the role of President of Distribution.
Askinasi and Hopkins will join the Skydance Executive Leadership Team. Both, along with Decker, will report directly to Perrette across the television and direct-to-consumer (DTC) streaming businesses.
The restructuring also brings changes to Warner Bros. Discovery’s existing leadership team. Ryan Gould and Robert “Bobby” Voltaggio, who previously served as Presidents of US Advertising Sales at WBD, are set to leave the organisation.
Scott Miller, WBD’s President of Networks and Streaming Distribution, will also step down following Hopkins’ appointment. The changes mark a significant leadership reshuffle as Paramount Skydance aligns its advertising sales, content sales and distribution operations following the merger.
