oOh!media has extended its long-standing partnership with The GPT Group, securing a new multi-year exclusive Out of Home contract across 16 of Australia’s most premium shopping centres, and includes over 700 large and small format digital sites.
The renewed long-term agreement spans a national footprint, including six centres in New South Wales, five in Victoria, three in Western Australia and two in Queensland, delivering advertisers unmatched scale across some of the country’s most important retail environments.
Flagship retail destinations within the GPT portfolio include Melbourne Central and Highpoint in Victoria, Pacific Fair in Queensland, Sydney’s Macquarie Centre and Karrinyup Shopping Centre in Western Australia. Collectively, the centres record $10.5 billion in combined retail sales from more than 3,800 retailers and 205 million visitors passing through annually¹.
The win cements oOh!’s Retail network as the most influential, accounting for 43 cents of every dollar spent across retail in Australia¹, delivering a 35% greater return on marketing investment than any other provider².
Robbie Dery, Chief Commercial Operating Officer at oOh!media, said: “Our long-standing partnership with GPT is a powerful endorsement of the strength and scale of our retail offering, and our ability to deliver meaningful results for advertisers in the environments that matter most. With the introduction of MOVE, we can now demonstrate the scale and impact of our retail network, which reaches 9.8 million Australians every week and connects with six in 10 shoppers³. Combined with our market-leading national footprint, this long-term partnership reinforces our position as a leading retail media partner, delivering a premium, data-led platform that drives stronger outcomes for advertisers.”
Kate Stone, General Manager, Business Development – Retail at GPT, said: “We’re committed to delivering the best retail destinations in the country, and that means partnering with best-in-class operators who share our ambition. oOh! has been a trusted partner for more than 15 years, consistently demonstrating the capability to deliver at scale while genuinely enhancing the shopping centre experience for our customers and retail partners. Their national reach, proven delivery and robust measurement framework through MOVE give us the confidence to evolve a retail media platform that creates real, lasting value for our retailers and the communities we serve.”
Melbourne Central is the most powerful shopping centre in the country and has the highest footfall. In March last year, oOh! secured one of Australia’s largest retail curved wall-mounted LED digital screens at Melbourne Central as part of a major rollout of 19 new and upgraded large format digital assets across GPT’s portfolio. Spanning 48 meters long, the first-of-its-kind digital clock wrap installation leverages the famous Melbourne Central Clock which draws crowds daily with its grand mechanical display, providing brands with the opportunity to connect with 51 million annual visitors¹.
