Infectious Advertising Appoints Abhijit Karandikar as Executive Creative Director

Mumbai, Wednesday, 30th September 2026: Infectious Advertising has appointed Abhijit Karandikar as Executive Creative Director.

A designer, art director and creative leader with over 30 years of experience in advertising, Karandikar brings an award-winning body of work across some of India’s most recognised brands. Karandikar spent over two decades at Ogilvy & Mather, following earlier stints at Everest Advertising and Interact Vision.

His client portfolio includes Mondelez, Castrol, Pond’s, Star Plus, Star Sports, Tata Sumo, Amaron Batteries, Taj Mahal Tea, BCCI and the Indian Ministry of Health. His work has won over 40 national and international awards, including honours at Cannes Lions, The One Show, London International Awards, Spikes Asia, Effies, Kyoorius and Goafest. His work has also been featured in leading international creative publications, including Lürzer’s Archive, Communication Arts, Graphis Annual USA and The Work.

Beyond advertising, Karandikar pursues calligraphy and experimental visual design. His original works have been exhibited in the Netherlands and at Mumbai’s Nehru Centre.

Abhijit Karandikar had this to say on his appointment as Executive Creative Director, Infectious Advertising, ‘I am excited to work alongside industry legends like Ramanuj, Nisha and Siddharth.
