McCann has appointed Andrés Ordóñez as its Global Chairman and Chief Creative Officer, combining creative leadership with broader responsibilities across the agency’s international network. In the newly established role, he will focus on driving client growth through creativity while continuing to strengthen the network’s creative standards.
Ordóñez joined McCann following Omnicom’s acquisition of Interpublic Group in late 2025, having previously served as global chief creative officer at FCB. Over the past year, he has built strong relationships with McCann’s key global clients, contributed to high-impact creative work and guided the agency’s creative community.
His leadership approach centres on bringing teams together across disciplines and markets to deliver stronger outcomes for clients. In his new position, Ordóñez will build on McCann’s integration with Omnicom’s broader Connected Capabilities, with the aim of creating closer collaboration across the network.
The appointment also reinforces McCann’s global leadership team, which includes Ida Rezvani, president and global chief client officer, and Harjot Singh, global chief strategy officer. Ordóñez will report to Andrew Robertson, global CEO of Omnicom Advertising.
Commenting on the appointment, Robertson said, “Andrés’ strength as a creative leader is a matter of public record; powerful enduring platform ideas that drive sustained growth. If you have worked with him, though, you will know that behind this is a restless determination to really understand clients’ businesses, to dig deeper into the problems, and search harder for the human truths that will unlock the answers. The truth well told is a way of life for him, and exactly who we want leading McCann.”
Andrés said, “There’s no shortage of big, complicated challenges facing our clients—and that’s what makes this moment exciting. I believe creativity does more than solve those challenges: it creates demand, and demand drives growth. I’m looking forward to getting closer to our clients and our people, asking the right questions and turning what we learn into work that moves businesses forward. McCann has the talent, ambition and global reach to make that happen, and I’m proud to help lead the effort,”
Before joining McCann, Ordóñez helped shape FCB into a leading creative network. The agency’s work received recognition across major industry awards, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show and the Effies. His teams also earned an Academy Award of Merit, receiving an Oscar statuette.
McCann has recorded several notable achievements over the past year. At Cannes Lions, the network won the inaugural Creative Brand Lion for its work with longtime partner Mastercard, while McCann Worldgroup Middle East (MCN) was named Regional Network of the Year. At the 2026 Effie Awards, McCann was also recognised as the No. 1 agency network in the United States.
Ordóñez’s appointment signals McCann’s continued focus on using creative excellence to strengthen client partnerships and support business growth across global markets.
