Meta has appointed Ravi Garg as Managing Director, Enterprise Business, Asia-Pacific (APAC). Garg takes on the role after serving as Country Director – Business Messaging & Payments at WhatsApp.
Garg announced his new position through a post on LinkedIn.
He joined WhatsApp in July 2021 and led its business messaging and payments operations in India until September 2026.
Before joining WhatsApp, Garg spent nearly 13 years at Microsoft, where he served as Senior Director from July 2008 to June 2021. He also held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Nazara Technologies between January 2007 and June 2008.
Earlier in his career, Garg worked at Sify as General Manager from January 2001 to January 2007. He began his professional journey in brand management at Parle Agro, where he served as Senior Brand Manager from July 1998 to December 2000.
His appointment brings experience across technology, digital business, messaging, payments and consumer brands to Meta’s enterprise business leadership in APAC.
