Dentsu Creative Isobar has secured the integrated creative mandate for premium menswear brand Blackberrys following a competitive multi-agency pitch. The account will be handled by the agency’s Gurgaon office.
The partnership comes as Blackberrys looks to strengthen its brand positioning and build deeper connections with India’s evolving menswear audience. As part of the mandate, Dentsu Creative Isobar will oversee brand strategy, creative development, social media management, store branding and integrated communications for the brand.
The agency will also be responsible for annual communication planning, marquee campaign development, user-generated content (UGC) strategy, brand activations and production. This will position Dentsu Creative Isobar as Blackberrys’ integrated communications partner across key consumer touchpoints.
Established in 1991, Blackberrys has grown into a prominent premium menswear brand in India. The brand operates across more than 350 cities through a network of over 1,000 exclusive brand outlets, with its proposition centred on innovation in fits, styling and craftsmanship.
Under the new partnership, Dentsu Creative Isobar will build communication around Blackberrys’ “Own the Room” brand platform. The agency will bring strategy, creative and social media capabilities together through a unified team, enabling integrated campaigns across mainline and digital platforms throughout the year.
The partnership will kick off with Blackberrys’ upcoming marquee campaign, followed by initiatives spanning advertising, social-first content, brand activations and consumer engagement.
Commenting on the appointment, Purvaa Kapadia, VP – Brand Experience, Blackberrys, said the brand was seeking a partner capable of translating its product craftsmanship into culturally relevant storytelling across consumer platforms.
“Own the Room sits at the heart of that ambition, and we needed a partner who could carry that conviction into culture,” Kapadia said, adding that Dentsu Creative Isobar aligned with the brand’s vision from the outset.
Sahil Shah, CEO, Dentsu Creative Isobar, said, “Blackberrys has spent more than three decades earning its place in the Indian man’s wardrobe, and that kind of equity is rare. Our opportunity is to make the brand impossible to ignore in culture. The mandate is integrated end to end, so strategy, creative and social sit with one team and answer to one brief. That is how relevance gets built today.”
The mandate marks a significant step in Blackberrys’ ongoing brand evolution, with the partnership expected to create more connected and culturally relevant communication across platforms and consumer experiences.
