Mondelez International Appoints Ankit Desai as Senior Director Marketing India

Mondelez International has appointed Ankit Desai as Senior Director – Marketing for India, following his nearly seven-year tenure at The Hershey Company.

In his new role, Desai will lead marketing and P&L for Mondelez India’s $1 billion-plus chocolates and tablets portfolio, including iconic brands such as Cadbury Dairy Milk, Cadbury Silk, Bournville, Crispello, and Nutties.

Desai brings extensive experience in scaling confectionery and food brands across India and Asia-Pacific. At Hershey, he held multiple leadership roles, most recently serving as General Manager – APAC, overseeing markets like China, Australia, and New Zealand.

He previously served as General Manager – South Asia and Chief Marketing Officer for Hershey India, where he played a key role in driving growth across chocolates, spreads, syrups, and cocoa-based categories.

Before Hershey, Desai worked with leading FMCG companies including Kellogg Company and Perfetti Van Melle, building strong expertise across marketing, sales, and brand management.

This appointment strengthens Mondelez India’s leadership as it continues to drive growth in the country’s dynamic chocolate and confectionery market.
