Havells India has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Manjit Singh Sethi as President and Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Head – Cables. In this role, Sethi will lead the company’s cables business, overseeing strategy, operations, and growth initiatives to further enhance Havells’ position in the segment. He assumed charge in December 2025 and will be based in Mumbai.
The appointment became public after Sethi updated his LinkedIn profile, sharing details of his new responsibility at Havells.
Before joining Havells, Sethi was associated with KEC International, where he served as Executive Director from March 2021 to December 2025. During his tenure, he led key strategic business units, first as SBU Head – Cables from March 2021 to March 2025, and subsequently as SBU Head – Renewables from April 2025 to December 2025. His role involved driving performance across infrastructure and energy verticals.
Earlier, Sethi spent nearly three decades at ABB, holding multiple senior leadership positions. His most recent role there was Head of Transformers, India, from November 2015 to February 2021, based in Vadodara. Prior to that, he served as Business Unit Head – Power Transformers from October 2009 to November 2015, managing large and medium transformer businesses, leading teams of over 400 professionals, and overseeing a profit and loss responsibility of around Rs 500 crore.
Sethi’s earlier roles at ABB included Business Unit Head – Distribution Transformers between January 2006 and September 2009, and Head of Marketing and Sales – Power Systems (North Zone) from January 2000 to December 2005 in Delhi. He began his career at ABB in December 1991 as a Sales Manager handling extra-high voltage (EHV) products. His professional journey started at Bhartia Group – India, where he worked as an Engineer from July 1990 to November 1991 in Faridabad, Haryana.
