Richa Parekh Steps In As Senior Director Of Marketing At JioHotstar

JioHotstar has announced the elevation of Richa Parekh to Senior Director of Marketing. In this expanded mandate, she will lead the platform’s digital marketing efforts, including customer acquisition across paid and organic channels, and guide integrated campaign strategy. She confirmed the development through a LinkedIn post.

Richa joined JioHotstar in April 2022 and most recently served as Digital Marketing Lead. During her tenure, she spearheaded the launch of Disney+ across 18 international markets, delivering one million subscribers within the first year. She also boosted revenue by 3X on high-CAC platforms such as Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and DV360, and built the company’s first in-house performance marketing team in India—enhancing operational efficiency by 35%.

Prior to JioHotstar, Richa led digital marketing at Aditya Birla Health Insurance between 2019 and 2022. She shaped high-impact campaigns including “Jump for Health,” “Activ Care,” and “Rakho Poora Khayaal” featuring Vidya Balan, and delivered massive multi-platform reach with over 45 million audio and 26 million visual impressions for #ABHIKaro.

From 2016 to 2019, she served as Digital Marketing Director at iProspect, managing strategies for nearly half the agency’s key Mumbai clients. Her leadership drove a 2.5X rise in revenue through upselling and channel expansion, alongside overseeing the digital marketing centre of excellence. She also helmed the acquisition journey for Kotak 811.

Richa earlier held roles at Rediff.com, where she delivered 300% higher sales through Facebook-led campaigns, and at Reload Media in Australia, where she developed SEO and digital strategies for 70+ brands. She began her career at Performics India, managing online marketing projects, media planning, acquisition channels, and multi-vertical digital campaigns.
