WPP Brings Grey and 82.5 Communications Under Ogilvy in India; Kiran Ramamurthy Appointed CEO of Grey 82.5

Published on: June 8, 2026

WPP has announced a significant restructuring of its creative operations in India by combining Grey and 82.5 Communications within the Ogilvy network. The move is designed to streamline operations, enhance collaboration, and create a more integrated creative offering for clients across the market.

As part of the new structure, Kiran Ramamurthy has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Grey 82.5, the newly formed entity resulting from the integration of Grey and 82.5 Communications. Supporting the leadership team, Anuraag Khandelwal and Mayur Varma will take on the roles of Joint Chief Creative Officers, while Rohitash Srivastava will lead strategy and planning as Chief Strategy Officer.

Ramamurthy joined 82.5 Communications as CEO in 2024 following his tenure at MediaMonks India. His professional journey also includes leadership positions at Ogilvy & Mather, Nova Medical Centers, and Via, bringing extensive industry experience to the newly consolidated agency.

The integration follows a broader restructuring initiative undertaken by Ogilvy Group earlier this year. Under the new framework, both agencies will operate under the leadership oversight of VR Rajesh, Group CEO, Ogilvy India.

By combining Grey’s international network strengths with 82.5 Communications’ local market expertise, WPP aims to create a unified agency model capable of delivering more comprehensive and connected solutions to clients.

The move reflects a wider industry trend, with global advertising holding companies increasingly consolidating capabilities to address growing client demand for integrated services spanning creativity, technology, data, commerce, customer experience, and earned media.

For WPP, the restructuring represents another step toward simplifying its agency ecosystem while enabling clients to access a broader range of capabilities through a cohesive and collaborative operating model.
