Unilever has consolidated the creative and strategic responsibilities for its beauty brands worldwide with WPP. Some of Unilever’s well-known brands, including Dove and Vaseline, were already managed by WPP, mainly through Ogilvy.
As a result of the consolidation, WPP will continue to work on Vaseline while taking on creative duties for Tresemme, Sunsilk, Simple, Nexxus, Shea Moisture, Clear, and Pond’s both domestically and internationally. Oliver from Brandtech Group, Omnicom Group, and Interpublic Group of Companies previously oversaw these brands in different areas.
With this strategic consolidation, Unilever is demonstrating its dedication to optimizing its creative processes and utilizing WPP’s experience to propel innovation throughout its portfolio of premium beauty brands. Unilever began a global media review of its media buying and planning account in January 2024. Most of Unilever’s media business in the US, UK, and Ireland is overseen by Mindshare, a division of GroupM.
