Razorpay has announced the elevation of Apuarv Sethi to the position of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), expanding his responsibilities to lead the company’s marketing and SME growth strategy across India and Southeast Asia.
In his new role, Sethi will drive Razorpay’s go-to-market initiatives, revenue growth strategies, ecosystem partnerships, and expansion plans across multiple products and markets. A major focus area will be strengthening AI-driven marketing capabilities to enhance customer engagement, predictive marketing, and long-term brand trust.
Sethi joined Razorpay in April 2021 as Vice President of Marketing and was later promoted to Senior Vice President – Marketing. Over the years, he has played a key role in shaping the fintech company’s brand strategy, product marketing, communications, customer engagement, and performance marketing efforts, while also supporting growth in SME-focused business segments.
He has also led several notable campaigns for Razorpay, including “Backing India’s Boldest”, “#ImaginedThroughAI” and “Get Paid, Not Played”, contributing to the company’s culturally relevant and insight-driven brand positioning.
With close to 20 years of experience, Sethi has worked across industries such as fintech, SaaS, ecommerce, and education. Prior to Razorpay, he held leadership positions at Flipkart, Mindtree, and Manipal Global Education Services, focusing on growth strategy, monetisation, branding, and go-to-market operations.
