Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios has appointed Baishali Chatterjee as Head of Communications for India, adding an experienced communications leader to its regional leadership team.
In her new position, Chatterjee will oversee communications for Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios in India. She shared news of her appointment through a LinkedIn post.
Chatterjee joins the streaming platform after working independently as a communications consultant for more than three years. During this period, she partnered with brands including Netflix, Vogue, Reliance, Flipkart, and Unilever on strategic communications initiatives.
Before becoming an independent consultant, she served as Head of Communications at Lakmé Lever, where she managed communications for Lakmé Salon, Dermalogica India, and TIGI India.
Her professional journey began in journalism at Zee Network as a sub-editor and web writer. She later moved to Spenta Multimedia before joining Femina, where she went on to lead the publication’s editorial operations across four cities.
In 2018, Chatterjee transitioned into public relations by joining MSLGROUP India as Associate Director. During her tenure, she led communications for several high-profile clients, including Netflix India and Audible India, before establishing her independent consulting practice.
Her appointment comes as streaming platforms continue to invest in original programming and audience engagement, increasing the importance of strategic communications in India’s rapidly evolving OTT industry.
