OpenAI has named Emmanuel Marill as Managing Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), where he will oversee the company’s business operations and support its continued growth across the region.
Marill joins OpenAI after nearly ten years at Airbnb, where he most recently served as Managing Director for EMEA and ANZ. During his tenure, he also held the position of Managing Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, in addition to leading Airbnb’s business across France and the Benelux region.
Before Airbnb, Marill held several senior leadership roles, including Financial Services & Automotive Industry Lead at Meta, Regional Vice President for Groupon EMEA, and Senior Consultant at Roland Berger. His experience spans business strategy, regional expansion, and leadership across technology and digital platforms.
With his appointment, OpenAI strengthens its leadership team in EMEA as the company continues to expand its presence and support customers, partners, and businesses across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
