New Delhi, July 25, 2025 – NDTV has announced the appointment of Aayush Ailawadi as Editor – Tech and AI, as the network deepens its commitment to technology and innovation coverage across its television, digital, and social platforms.

In his new role, Ailawadi will be responsible for shaping a refreshed, people-first approach to technology journalism—going beyond product launches and hardware reviews to highlight how technology and AI are reshaping industries, cities, and everyday lives.

Aayush Ailawadi brings a rich, multidisciplinary background to NDTV, with professional experience spanning intellectual property law, cybersecurity, and digital storytelling. He has previously held key editorial roles at India Today Group, where he launched and led Tech Today, and Fortune India, where he spearheaded a social-first content strategy that seamlessly blended print, digital, and video formats.

Ailawadi’s work has been featured on major platforms such as Netflix, Disney+, Instagram, and YouTube, including high-impact content like Bad Boy Billionaires, which explored themes of ambition, disruption, and business ethics. He has also interviewed leading global tech visionaries including Tim Cook, Sir James Dyson, and Carl Pei.

“Aayush brings a rare ability to make technology and AI stories insightful and engaging,” said Rahul Kanwal, CEO & Editor‑in‑Chief, NDTV. “His experience will strengthen the way NDTV brings complex tech narratives to life. We look forward to the fresh perspectives he will bring to our audiences.”

“Storytelling in tech isn’t just about a piece of glass in a smartphone or the scripted hype of a new launch. It’s about people and the boundless possibilities technology unlocks,” said Aayush Ailawadi. “From AI to cutting-edge innovations, our focus will be on 360-degree coverage that’s insightful, credible and truly relevant to everyone’s lives.”

Under Ailawadi’s editorial leadership, NDTV will expand its technology vertical to include coverage of emerging sectors such as AI, health tech, digital ecosystems, mobility, and design. It also plans to explore how tech intersects with sports, education, entertainment, and policy, reflecting the role of technology as a core driver of modern life.

NDTV’s tech content strategy will encompass both traditional broadcasting and digital-first formats, mirroring Ailawadi’s deep roots in the creator economy and his track record in audience-centric storytelling.
