NBCUniversal has expanded the reach of its streaming platform Peacock by making its Premium Plus subscription tier available through YouTube Primetime Channels, giving viewers another way to access the service without leaving the YouTube ecosystem.
With this rollout, users can subscribe to Peacock Premium Plus directly via YouTube and stream its content within the platform’s interface, eliminating the need to switch between multiple apps. Subscribers will gain access to Peacock’s library of live sports, NBC and Bravo programming, Peacock Originals, and films from Universal Pictures.
The launch follows a broader strategic partnership signed by NBCUniversal and Google in late 2025, aimed at strengthening collaboration across television, streaming, and digital content distribution. The integration of Peacock into YouTube Primetime Channels represents one of the first major outcomes of that agreement.
YouTube Primetime Channels serves as a subscription marketplace where users can sign up for and watch premium streaming services from a single destination. The platform already hosts services such as HBO Max, Paramount+, NFL Sunday Ticket, and Fox One, as YouTube continues to position itself as a central hub for streaming subscriptions.
Peacock Premium Plus remains the platform’s highest-tier offering, providing subscribers with an enhanced viewing experience featuring limited advertising. While the service is now available through YouTube, customers can also continue subscribing directly through Peacock’s website and mobile applications.
The Peacock content catalogue available via YouTube includes major sports properties such as the NFL, NBA, MLB, Premier League, Big Ten sports, and Notre Dame football. Subscribers will also have access to shows from NBC, Bravo, and Telemundo, Peacock Originals, and a collection of films from Universal Pictures.
The expansion reflects a wider trend across the streaming industry, where media companies are increasingly partnering with established digital platforms to broaden audience reach and simplify content discovery. By leveraging YouTube’s massive global user base, NBCUniversal aims to make Peacock more accessible while strengthening subscriber growth in an increasingly competitive streaming landscape.
