Mumbai, Tuesday, 16th June, 2026: – Komerz India, the regional arm of global commercial growth platform Komerz, today announced a strategic partnership with Globe Grocer India to accelerate the distribution and growth of high-demand international food & beverage brands across India.
The partnership combines Globe Grocer’s expertise in sourcing, importing, and managing global brand relationships with Komerz India’s omni-channel distribution, commercial execution and route-to-market capabilities.
Under the partnership, Globe Grocer will continue to lead sourcing, import operations, and global brand partnerships, while Komerz India will drive nationwide distribution and growth across General Trade, Modern Trade, HoReCa, B2B, E-commerce, Quick Commerce and emerging retail channels.
The partnership is already operational across brands including Prime Hydration, Trident Gum, Frito Lay’s, Milka Chocolates, Poppi, RFYL, Ah-ssa Eat, Bak-BAK and OooKnafa. Additional global brands are expected to be introduced in the coming months.
Imported brands entering India have historically faced strong consumer demand but fragmented distribution and limited offline reach. This partnership is designed to address that challenge by combining global sourcing strength with local execution at scale.
“The future of global commerce belongs to companies that can collapse the distance between international demand and local availability,” said Siddharth Shankar, Global COO, Komerz. “India is becoming one of the most important growth markets for global consumer brands, and this partnership creates the infrastructure to scale that opportunity effectively.”
“Imported brands in India have traditionally been built through pockets of availability. The next phase of growth will come from distribution discipline, channel depth, and execution consistency,” said Deepak Sangarpal, Chief Commercial Officer, Komerz India. “What excites us most is the ability to make globally loved brands accessible across the length and breadth of the country.”
“At Globe Grocer, our focus has always been to identify and bring the world’s most exciting food and beverage brands closer to Indian consumers,” said Sunil Jambhekar, Founder & Director, Globe Grocer India. “With Komerz as our strategic distribution partner, we can now scale those brands nationally with far greater speed, reach, and operational efficiency.”
The partnership further strengthens Komerz’s broader strategy of building an integrated Commercial Growth Operating System across sourcing, distribution, commerce, marketing, measurement and retail infrastructure. It follows the company’s recent acquisitions of Pathformance (USA), Glassbox (India) and Great Wines Direct (UK) – reinforcing Komerz’s ambition to build a global platform that helps brands enter, scale and grow across markets through a unified commercial infrastructure.
