Instamart has announced the promotion of Dhanya Hemanth Raj to the position of Director, Marketing, marking a new milestone in her journey with the quick commerce platform. Raj shared the news through a post on LinkedIn.
In her new role, Raj will continue to drive Instamart’s marketing vision and brand growth as the company strengthens its position in India’s rapidly evolving quick commerce landscape.
Raj has been associated with Instamart since September 2023, when she joined as General Manager, Marketing. During her tenure, she played a significant role in shaping the company’s marketing initiatives and supporting brand expansion amid growing competition in the sector.
Before joining Instamart, Raj headed brand marketing at TenderCuts, where she led consumer engagement and brand-building efforts between May 2021 and September 2023. Prior to that, she worked with Licious as Brand Manager, contributing to the growth and positioning of the direct-to-consumer meat brand from August 2019 to May 2021.
Her professional journey also includes leadership roles in brand strategy and planning. She served as Brand Planning Director at MullenLowe Lintas Group from October 2017 to August 2019 and held the position of Senior Brand Strategy Manager at R K SWAMY BBDO between October 2015 and September 2017, with a strong focus on digital strategy.
Earlier in her career, Raj built expertise in consumer intelligence and market analytics at Converseon, where she worked as Lead Market Research Analyst from February 2014 to October 2015. In that role, she specialized in social listening and consumer insight programs for brands including Johnson & Johnson.
With experience spanning brand management, strategic planning, consumer insights, and digital marketing, Raj’s elevation reflects Instamart’s continued investment in leadership talent as it expands its footprint in the quick commerce market.
