FCB Group has been crowned the ‘PR agency of the Year’ at the Abby Awards, powered by One Show at Goafest 2024. The Publisher won 1 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 merit, winning with a total tally of 5 metals. The gold came for HDFC Bank’s ‘Lulumelon EOSS’ campaign. The agency scored a total of 27 points, a slim margin which bagged them their victory.
Leo Burnett took home total 3 metals, with 1 Gold, 2 Silver, and 1 Merit. The Gold win came for Lay’s ‘The Smart Farm.’
Tribes Communication came in third with 2 metals to their name, that included 1 Silver and 1 Bronze. Havas Worldwide had 1 Silver metal to its name.
The third Gold metal in the category was won by Krafton India for Battlegrounds Mobile India’s ‘BGMI Ki Boli.’
Design Specialist Agency of the Year
The FCB Group also bagged the ‘Design Specialist Agency of the Year’ with 2 Bronze metals to in their bag and a total of 10 points in the category. Brave came in a close second with 1 Silver and 3 Merits to its name. Creativeland Asia and EBBXFLO also each won one Bronze at the ABBY awards powered by One Show at the Goafest.
Furthermore, FCB Group was the only agency to win 2 Grand Prix of the night for HDFC Bank’s ‘Lulumelon EOSS’ in the Technology Specialist category, and STIR – Design Magazine’s ‘Untangling The Politics of Hair’ in the Direct Specialist category.
Leo Burnett comes in a close second
Leo Burnett gave FCB Group a tough challenge, coming in second place. However, the agency won the ‘Technology Specialist Agency of the Year’, with 2 Silver, 5 Bronze and 4 Merits to its name, making the total tally to 7 Metals. FCG Group won 1 Grand Prix and 1 Gold in the category. The Grand Prix and Gold metals both came for HDFC Bank’s ‘Lulumelon EOSS.’ Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt. Ltd. (1 Silver and 1 Bronze), Interactive Avenues (1 Silver and 1 Bronze) and redBus ( 2 Bronze) finished the top 5.
They also won the ‘Mobile Specialist Agency of the Year’ with 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze. The Gold win came from Lay’s ‘The Smart Farm’ campaign. FCB Group finished second with 1 Silver and 1 Bronze in the category. Flipkart and Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt. Ltd., were the two agencies who bagged the other Gold metals for the category for Flipkart’s ‘Blame it on Flipkart’ and McDonald’s India (S&W) for EatQual Colours. Schbang with 2 Bronze finished fifth, completing the top 5 for this category.
Furthermore, Leo Burnett also bagged the ‘Direct Specialist Agency of the Year’ with 2 Silver, 3 Bronze and 2 Merits. FCB Group India won the Grand Prix for this category for its STIR – Design Magazine’s ‘Untangling The Politics of Hair’ campaign. STAR India Pvt. Ltd., won the other Gold metal for the category, for its Disney Star Network’s ‘Words of Pride.’ Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt. Ltd., and tgthr completed the top 5 with 1 Bronze each to their name.
Leo Burnett was also named the ‘Digital Specialist Agency of the Year’ with 2 Gold, 4 Silver, 2 Bronze, and 6 Merits in the bag. The two Gold wins came from Gatorade’s ‘Gatorade Turf Finder powered by Google Maps’ and Flipkart’s ‘BBD – How to make mistakes, successfully?’. FCB Group India bagged 1 Gold, 2 Silver, and 3 Bronze in the category. The Gold came in for HDFC Bank’s ‘Lulumelon EOSS.’ redBus finished second with 2 Silver, 2 Bronze and 1 merit to its name. Ducktape Studios bagged the other Gold of the night for the category. The Gold metal came for Steadfast Shredders’ ‘ARMS DEAL’, concluding the night.
