Clemenger BBDO Appoints Lindsay Bennett as Head of Brand and Communications

Clemenger BBDO has announced the appointment of Lindsay Bennett as Head of Brand and Communications, a newly created role aimed at accelerating business growth and shaping the agency’s next chapter following the integration of CHEP Network, Clemenger BBDO, and Traffik.

Bennett will report directly to CEO Lee Leggett and collaborate closely with the leadership team to define and amplify the presence of the newly unified Clemenger BBDO in the market. Her role will encompass brand strategy, communications, and new business development, with a strong focus on leveraging earned media to drive commercial outcomes.

“Lindsay is not just a communications leader. She’s a business driver,” said Leggett. “She brings a rare combination of global experience, local market knowledge and commercial focus. She understands how to build a brand that earns attention and opens doors. She’s exactly what this moment calls for.”

Bennett returns to Australia after serving as Vice President of Corporate Communications at GALE in New York, where she led marketing, communications, and new business efforts across North America. Her work played a key role in GALE being recognized on the Ad Age A-List and as Adweek’s Breakthrough Media Agency of the Year, contributing to substantial revenue growth and new client acquisitions.

Previously, Bennett was Global Head of Marketing at DDB, overseeing the network’s first global repositioning and managing brand and communications across 149 offices. She stepped into the global role after making a significant impact on new business and creative excellence at DDB Australia. Bennett began her career as a journalist at AdNews, where she developed a deep passion for storytelling and brand building.

“I’ve long admired Clemenger BBDO’s creative legacy. With the recent integration, the agency is building something even bigger,” said Bennett. “Lee’s leadership, combined with the depth of capability across the business, makes this a rare opportunity to shape the next chapter of an iconic brand.”

This appointment marks a pivotal moment for Clemenger BBDO as it continues to build momentum around its mission to Do Big Things.
