Abhisheik Joshi has taken over as Chief Executive Officer at New Media Holding. The announcement was made through Joshi’s LinkedIn post, marking a new chapter in his journey through India’s evolving content and tech ecosystem.
At ShemarooMe, Joshi led the platform’s strategic direction across content, product, monetization, and partnerships, playing a pivotal role in shaping its digital growth trajectory. His tenure was defined by bold initiatives in the OTT space, spanning SVoD, AVoD, and FAST models.
Prior to Shemaroo, he held key roles at MX Player, where he helmed marketing operations and led ventures like MX Gold and MX TakaTak. His earlier stints at SonyLIV, ABP News, ZengaTV, and Sony Pictures Networks further enriched his deep expertise across linear and digital content platforms.

With this appointment, New Media Holding signals a bold step forward — placing innovation, platform thinking, and people-first leadership at the core of its vision.
