Dentsu India COO Kartik Iyer Retires After Three Decades in Advertising

Kartik Iyer, Chief Operating Officer at dentsu India, has retired from the agency network following a career spanning more than three decades across the media and advertising industry.

Iyer joined dentsu in 2008 and was elevated to the position of COO, dentsu India, in 2021. During his time with the network, he held leadership responsibilities across agencies including Carat, Amplifi and Vizeum.

His tenure saw him work with a diverse portfolio of brands, including GM, Philips, Muthoot, Adidas, Microsoft, MasterCard, Mattel, Total and SCA.

Over the course of his wider career, Iyer has contributed to the launch of major brands including LG and Compaq in India. He has also led the media function for one of the country’s largest automotive companies.

With more than 30 years of experience across media, advertising and brand building, Iyer’s career has spanned agency leadership, media strategy and the development of businesses and brands in India’s evolving advertising ecosystem.
