Unity has completed the sale of its mobile game publishing business, Supersonic, to Tripledot Studios for $40 million. The transaction closed on August 4, 2026, as Unity continues to streamline its operations and sharpen its focus on its Vector AI advertising platform.
The divestment follows Unity’s earlier decision to sunset the ironSource Ads Network. Both Supersonic and the ironSource advertising network became part of Unity following the company’s $4.4 billion all-stock merger with ironSource in 2022.
Unity CEO Matt Bromberg said Tripledot was “the right home” for the Supersonic team and business. Supersonic will continue to operate as an independent unit within the Tripledot Group, with the business remaining headquartered in Tel Aviv and continuing under its existing management team.
The acquisition marks Tripledot’s second major mobile publishing transaction in just over a year. The company previously acquired several studios owned by AppLovin in 2025.
The transaction comes as Unity reports strong financial momentum, particularly within its mobile advertising business. For the quarter ended June 30, Unity reported revenue of $546.5 million, representing a 24% year-over-year increase.
Grow Solutions revenue, which includes the Unity Ads Network, increased 35% year over year to $389 million, with growth driven by the company’s Vector AI platform.
Bromberg described the period as “arguably the best quarter in Unity’s history as a public company,” citing the continued performance of Vector AI and the company’s product roadmap.
Unity reported adjusted EBITDA of $160 million for the quarter, compared with $90 million during the same period a year earlier. Its GAAP net loss also narrowed substantially to $23 million from $107 million year over year.
The company expects to achieve GAAP profitability by the third quarter of 2026. For the current quarter, Unity expects strategic revenue to reach between $540 million and $550 million, representing year-over-year growth of 44% to 47%. Strategic Grow revenue is projected to increase 68% to 70% to between $380 million and $385 million.
Adjusted EBITDA guidance for the quarter stands at $185 million to $190 million, representing anticipated year-over-year growth of 69% to 74%.
The sale of Supersonic forms part of Unity’s broader effort to simplify its business structure while concentrating resources on its core technology and AI-powered advertising growth opportunities.
