WolfzHowl launches Good Wolf, a belief and behaviour practice for social development, sustainability and CSR

Published on: July 22, 2026

Mumbai, July 22, 2026: WolfzHowl Strategic Instigations today announced the launch of Good Wolf, its first branded service in 14 years. The dedicated practice focuses on citizen and community behaviour change across social development, sustainability and CSR. Built on the firm’s experience in belief-led strategy, Good Wolf helps organisations design, implement and evaluate programmes that seek to create measurable and sustained behaviour change.

As investments in CSR, sustainability and social development continue to grow, organisations are placing greater emphasis on demonstrating measurable outcomes and long-term impact. CSR spending by NSE main board-listed companies rose 23% in FY25 to ₹22,212 crore*, with nearly half of mandated companies spending beyond the required minimum. Government missions, ESG capital and foundation funding are also scaling alongside. Yet, as investment grows, the sector continues to face a common challenge: outcome tracking remains inconsistent, making it difficult to demonstrate lasting impact. While programmes often measure activities and outputs, long-term success is increasingly being evaluated by whether they lead to sustained changes in beliefs and behaviours.

Good Wolf’s offering spans belief diagnostics and community research, behaviour change strategy, intervention and engagement design, communication strategy for behaviour change initiatives, and measurement and evaluation of belief and behaviour outcomes. The practice works across public health, gender and social equity, environment and climate adaptation, financial inclusion, education and skilling, and responsible corporate behaviour, partnering with foundations,

government programmes, corporates with CSR mandates, NGOs and healthcare organisations.

The practice is built on the BbOS (Belief and Behaviour Operating System), WolfzHowl’s proprietary methodology for designing behaviour change programmes. BbOS maps existing beliefs, identifies the behaviours they influence, guides interventions that encourage desired actions, and reinforces these behaviours over time so they become sustained within individuals, families and communities. The methodology also evaluates progress at every stage by measuring whether beliefs have shifted and whether those shifts have translated into meaningful behavioural change.

Good Wolf draws on WolfzHowl’s experience across both mainstream brand strategy and social development programmes. This enables the practice to support organisations seeking to strengthen both social outcomes and, where relevant, broader brand objectives. Its work includes sustainability and behaviour change initiatives for projects such as Mahindra e2o and BEEM, Husk’s solar and rural e-commerce brand, bringing together citizen and consumer perspectives in programme design.

“India’s social capital has learned to flow. Now it has to learn to prove. Brands learned long ago that behaviour does not change until belief does, and development capital deserves that same rigour. Good Wolf is our first branded service because this work means the most to us. We are not launching an ambition—we are naming a body of work we have already done. We leave behind an operating system, not a report,” said Kalyan Ram Challapalli, Founder, WolfzHowl Strategic Instigations.

Good Wolf launches with experience from programmes already delivered. These include Samman, WolfzHowl’s community belief programme for the Jal Jeevan

Mission, developed with Tata Trusts and four state governments; field programmes with women dairy farmers in Dholpur, Rajasthan; Khud Se Jeet, a cervical cancer belief-change campaign recognised among the top 50 ads of the previous year by a leading publication; and ongoing work to reframe public understanding of dementia through the campaign Pehchaan Ki Chori Wali Bimari. The firm has also worked on corporate CSR programmes and continues to support select mandates across the sector.
