Australian independent agency Sunny Advertising has expanded its presence in the sports marketing sector after securing partnerships with several prominent sporting organisations across the country. The agency has added the Dolphins (NRL), Sunshine Coast Lightning, the South Australian National Football League (SANFL), and the Brisbane Bullets to its client roster, while also retaining the Brisbane Heat for a third consecutive season.
The new partnerships further reinforce Sunny Advertising’s growing focus on the sports industry, where it provides expertise in audience growth, performance media, fan engagement, and commercial marketing strategies tailored to professional sporting organisations.
Commenting on the milestone, Sunny Advertising CEO Sarah McNeil said the appointments reflected the agency’s growing reputation for delivering measurable commercial outcomes for professional sporting organisations.
“Elite sport is incredibly competitive and it’s not just on the field performance,” she said.
“Sporting organisations also focus on maintaining and attracting new members, increasing attendance and game day engagement while supporting sponsors, fans and other stakeholders.”
“Our team has developed specialist expertise in audience growth, performance media and fan engagement, helping sporting organisations like the Brisbane Heat maximise every marketing dollar while delivering measurable results,” the CEO added.
The agency highlighted that its work with the Brisbane Heat contributed to one of the club’s strongest commercial seasons in recent Big Bash League history. The club attracted more than 150,000 spectators across five home fixtures, recorded three sold-out matches, and achieved its highest home attendance figures in eight seasons.
McNeil also expressed enthusiasm about the agency’s expanding sports client portfolio and its long-term growth potential.
“This is a niche we are really excited to grow, most of our staff are sports mad so it helps that they understand each individual sport and their different nuances while adding our unique set of expertise in order to maximise outcomes,” Sarah added.
With the latest client wins, Sunny Advertising continues to strengthen its position as a specialist marketing partner for sporting organisations seeking to boost fan engagement, commercial performance, and long-term audience growth.
