Tushar Vyas, Chief Strategy Officer at WPP India, has announced his decision to leave the organization, concluding a remarkable 25-year tenure with WPP and its media agency network.
Sharing the news, Vyas reflected on the significance of his journey, describing WPP as much more than a professional destination. He highlighted the experiences, relationships, opportunities, and personal growth that shaped his career over the past two and a half decades.
Vyas currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer for WPP India, a position he assumed in 2023. Prior to that, he was President of GroupM South Asia, overseeing the media investment group’s operations across the region. His transition to the WPP India strategy role expanded his focus from business leadership to driving broader strategic initiatives across the organization.
Throughout his career within the WPP ecosystem, Vyas held several senior leadership roles, including Chief Strategy Officer, GroupM South Asia (2015–2019), Managing Partner (2010–2015), and National Director – Interaction, the group’s digital media business. Earlier in his career, he also served in leadership positions at Mindshare, where he built deep expertise in media planning, marketing strategy, and digital transformation.
His professional journey also included a stint outside WPP as Director and Chief Marketing Officer at SureWaves, an ad-tech company focused on strengthening digital media infrastructure, before returning to leadership roles within GroupM.
Looking ahead, Vyas revealed that he intends to dedicate his time and expertise to areas that have long inspired him, including academia, entrepreneurship, innovation, and social impact initiatives.
