Colgate-Palmolive has announced the promotion of Ram Raghavan as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), marking a significant milestone in his nearly three-decade-long journey with the company.
Raghavan, who began his career with Colgate-Palmolive India as a Management Trainee in 1997, has held a variety of leadership roles across multiple markets and business units. Over the years, he has built extensive experience across Asia Pacific, North America, and Latin America, contributing to the growth and development of several key business segments.
Prior to taking on the CMO position, Raghavan served as President, Enterprise Oral Care, a role he held for the past four years. Throughout his tenure, he has played an important role in driving business growth and strengthening the company’s oral care portfolio on a global scale.
Sharing the news on LinkedIn, Raghavan expressed his excitement about stepping into the new role and leading Colgate-Palmolive’s worldwide marketing organization.
“I am deeply honoured and thrilled to step into the Chief Marketing Officer role at Colgate-Palmolive,” he wrote, highlighting a career journey that has taken him across Asia Pacific, North America and Latin America.
Raghavan also reflected on the company’s diverse portfolio, which includes globally recognized brands such as Colgate, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Palmolive, elmex, Suavitel, Fabuloso, and EltaMD.
Looking ahead, he emphasized his commitment to advancing the company’s growth ambitions and evolving its marketing capabilities.

His appointment comes as Colgate-Palmolive continues to strengthen its global brand portfolio and enhance its marketing capabilities to support long-term business growth across international markets.
