The Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) has officially named Vibhor Jain as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 7. Jain had been leading the organisation in an interim capacity following the exit of Thampy Koshy in April last year.
Before stepping into this role, Jain served as Chief Operating Officer at ONDC, where he played a key role in driving the network’s operational strategy and growth.
Commenting on the organisation’s future direction, Jain said the focus will be on strengthening use cases enabled by open and interoperable digital infrastructure, particularly those that are not typically supported by single-platform models. He added that ONDC will continue to build services for participants including farmers, artisans, small retailers and gig workers.
Alongside this leadership transition, ONDC has also strengthened its senior management team. Rohit Lohia has joined as Chief Business Officer, while Manoj Thakur has been appointed Chief Technology Officer.
