Omnicom Advertising India has promoted Rohan Mehta to the role of Chief Transformation Officer, marking a significant leadership development as the network continues to evolve its structure in the country.
In his new role, Mehta will spearhead digital integration and enhance capabilities across Omnicom’s advertising ecosystem in India. His mandate focuses on accelerating transformation initiatives, a priority as agencies adapt to changing client expectations and a rapidly digitising landscape.
The appointment follows Omnicom’s acquisition of Interpublic Group and the subsequent consolidation of leadership within Omnicom Advertising India. While the transition had been underway, Mehta formally announced his new position through a LinkedIn update.
A prominent figure in India’s digital marketing space, Mehta previously co-founded Kinnect alongside Chandni Shah. The agency was acquired by FCB, part of IPG, in 2023 and later rebranded as FCB Kinnect, integrating it into a global creative network.
Announcing his new role, Mehta reflected on his entrepreneurial journey and the scale of the opportunity ahead. “After 14 years of building Kinnect, I’m now stepping into the role of Chief Transformation Officer for Omnicom Advertising India,” he said in his LinkedIn post.
He described the move as a defining moment for the industry, highlighting the scale and depth of the combined organisation. Mehta noted that the agencies under Omnicom collectively represent one of the largest portfolios of clients and talent in Indian advertising, with long-standing relationships across many of the country’s top media spenders.
Emphasising the network’s strength, he referred to its “collective intelligence” built through years of cross-disciplinary expertise. Reflecting on his journey with Kinnect and FCB, Mehta said the focus had been on developing modern marketing capabilities while maintaining creativity at the core—an approach he plans to scale further.
Looking ahead, his priorities include ensuring clients can fully leverage Omnicom Advertising’s integrated offerings while empowering talent within the network to evolve with emerging marketing skill sets. He also stressed the importance of preserving the trust and experience built over time.
Calling the responsibility “massive,” Mehta expressed confidence in delivering meaningful progress, backed by the strength of teams and partnerships across Omnicom Advertising India.
The appointment highlights Omnicom’s continued focus on strengthening its transformation agenda in India, aligning with a broader industry shift toward integrated, technology-driven marketing solutions.
