Amazon Music has announced the appointment of Rashii Prabhakar as Content Lead for India. She will operate from Mumbai, where she will focus on strengthening the platform’s content strategy and partnerships in the country.
Prabhakar shared the news of her new role on LinkedIn, stating, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Content Lead India at Amazon Music!”
Before joining Amazon Music, Prabhakar worked as an independent sales and marketing consultant, supporting early-stage and high-growth startups across the APAC region. In this capacity, she advised companies on digital marketing strategies, sales frameworks and customer acquisition.
Earlier, she served as Vice President at INNOCEAN India, where she led digital strategy initiatives for Hyundai Motor India. Her work included managing areas such as paid media, search engine optimisation, online reputation management and broader digital solutions.
Prabhakar has also held Director-level roles at Pixis and Triller, where she worked on strategic partnerships and revenue monetisation initiatives across digital platforms.
During her tenure at Saregama India, she was responsible for leading content syndication for Yoodlee Films, collaborating with OTT platforms and television networks both in India and international markets.
Earlier in her career, she served as National Head – Solutions and Sponsorships at Viacom18 Media, where she worked on brand collaborations across popular entertainment properties including Vh1 Supersonic, MTV Bollyland, and Comedy Central Chuckle Festival.
Her professional journey also includes roles at Only Much Louder (OML), The Walt Disney Company, STAR India, and The Times of India, giving her broad experience across media, entertainment and digital platforms.
