Sunny Madra Joins NVIDIA As Vice President – Hardware

Sunny Madra has joined NVIDIA as Vice President – Hardware, taking on a key role in advancing AI infrastructure and next-generation hardware innovation to support large-scale accelerated computing. Based in Santa Clara, Madra will focus on strengthening NVIDIA’s hardware capabilities as demand for AI-driven platforms continues to scale globally.

Madra brings deep leadership experience across hardware, AI platforms, and enterprise technology. Prior to NVIDIA, he served as Chief Operating Officer and President at Groq, where he led sales, supply chain, operations, and the company’s hardware organisation. His move to NVIDIA follows a phase of strategic collaboration between NVIDIA and Groq aimed at accelerating AI inference at scale.

Earlier, Madra co-founded Definitive Intelligence, which was later acquired by Groq. He also co-founded Autonomic, subsequently acquired by Ford Motor Company, where he went on to serve as Vice President, Ford X, leading innovation initiatives and partnerships with Google and Amazon Web Services (AWS). His career includes senior roles at Pivotal Software and the co-founding of Xtreme Labs, which was acquired by Pivotal.

In addition to his operational leadership, Madra is an active angel investor through The Angel Collective, with investments across high-growth technology companies including SpaceX, Notion, Epic Games, Uber (pre-IPO), and multiple venture capital funds focused on emerging technologies.
