Blinkit CFO Vipin Kapooria Steps Down After Nearly One Year

Vipin Kapooria has stepped down from his role as Chief Financial Officer at quick-commerce platform Blinkit, approximately a year after assuming the position, according to media reports. He is expected to rejoin Flipkart, marking a return to the e-commerce major.

Kapooria took charge as Blinkit’s CFO between September and October 2024, becoming the company’s first full-time finance head since Amit Sachdeva’s departure in 2022. His exit brings a relatively brief but notable chapter to Blinkit’s leadership team during a phase of rapid growth and operational scaling.

If confirmed, the move would represent Kapooria’s third tenure at Flipkart. He was previously associated with the company from 2015 to 2018, and again from August 2020 until October 2024, holding senior finance leadership responsibilities.

Over the course of his career, Kapooria has built extensive experience across consumer internet, hospitality, and technology services sectors. His professional background includes stints at OYO, Yum! Restaurants, and Birlasoft, where he worked across finance strategy, operations, and business transformation roles.
