Samsung Electronics has announced a major leadership update, officially appointing TM Roh as the new Head of the Device eXperience (DX) Division and naming him a Co-CEO of the company. He will serve alongside Young Hyun Jun, Vice Chairman and Head of the Device Solutions (DS) Division, who will continue in his current executive role.
In addition to his expanded responsibilities, President Roh will remain in charge of the Mobile eXperience (MX) Business, ensuring continuity in Samsung’s global mobile strategy. Vice Chairman Jun will continue overseeing the Memory Business as part of the DS Division.
To further advance the company’s innovation roadmap, Samsung has appointed Janghyun Yoon as President, Chief Technology Officer of the DX Division, and the new Head of Samsung Research. Yoon previously served as CEO of Samsung Venture Investment and has extensive experience leading software platform development, IoT initiatives, and Tizen advancements within the MX Business.
The company also named Hongkun Park as the new Head of the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT). Park currently serves as the Mark Hyman Jr. Professor of Chemistry and Professor of Physics at Harvard University, recognized globally for his pioneering contributions to nanoscience, quantum science and engineering.
These leadership appointments underscore Samsung’s commitment to accelerating technology innovation and strengthening its position in key product and research areas.
