Dainik Bhaskar Group has named Durga Chakraborty as its Corporate Sales Head – South India, strengthening the company’s growth strategy and regional footprint.
With over 20 years of experience across broadcast, print, radio, and digital media in India and the U.S., Durga joins DB Corp’s senior leadership team with a strong track record in scaling businesses, leading high-performing teams, and shaping effective sales and content strategies.
Before joining DB Corp, she held the role of Associate Vice President at Sony Pictures Networks, overseeing major verticals including SAB TV, FTA, Kids, and the English Cluster. Her expertise in expansion strategy, client management, and business development positions her to drive DB Corp’s next phase of growth in South India.
Durga will report to Mayar Penkar, Chief Operating Officer – Corporate Sales, who said: “Durga’s appointment marks a transformative step for DB Corp’s ambitions in South India. Her extensive industry knowledge, team-building capabilities, and client-centric leadership will enable us to achieve new milestones in the region.”
