In a key leadership development, Gaurav Om Sharma has stepped down from his role as Senior Vice President at Leo Burnett, concluding a successful seven-year tenure with the agency. A seasoned advertising and brand communications leader with over 17 years of industry experience, Sharma’s departure marks the end of an impactful chapter at one of India’s most renowned creative networks.
Sharma joined Leo Burnett in 2019 as Vice President and was elevated to Senior Vice President in April 2021, where he played a pivotal role in driving strategy, creative excellence, and client growth for the Mumbai office. During his time at the agency, he led key accounts and spearheaded multiple integrated campaigns that strengthened client partnerships and brand narratives.
Announcing his move in a LinkedIn post, Sharma reflected on his journey and expressed gratitude for the opportunities and collaborations that defined his tenure at Leo Burnett.
Before joining Leo Burnett, Sharma co-founded Toch (formerly Magnifi) in 2015, where he spent nearly four years leading growth, product innovation, and digital strategy. He also served as Associate Vice President at MullenLowe Lintas Group from 2015 to 2017, where he managed brand strategy and account leadership for prominent clients.
Earlier in his career, Sharma spent over six years at Lowe Lintas in progressive roles including Senior Brand Director, Brand Director, Senior Brand Manager, and Brand Manager, gaining deep expertise in creative planning, brand building, and integrated campaign management. He began his professional journey in 2007 at Aaren Initiative (Lintas IMAG) as a Project Consultant before moving to Perspectrum Consultancy as a Marketing Consultant.
