Roombr Appoints Fayyaz Hussain as Chief Growth Officer

Roombr, the AI-powered digital classroom platform transforming education infrastructure, has announced the appointment of Fayyaz Hussain as its Chief Growth Officer (CGO). The strategic leadership addition comes as Roombr enters a scale-up phase focused on global expansion, capital strategy, and accelerated growth across India and international education markets.

With this appointment, Roombr aims to strengthen its fundraising initiatives and expand its footprint in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, as it positions itself among globally recognised innovation-led edtech infrastructure companies.

Over the past two years, Roombr has successfully deployed 3,000 AI-enabled smart classrooms across 1,000 schools, positively impacting more than 150,000 students in emerging regions of India. The company’s patented AI-powered classroom platform integrates hardware, software, analytics, and learning-outcome tracking, empowering teachers and enabling data-driven, personalised learning experiences.

Fayyaz Hussain’s Appointment Signals a New Growth Chapter

A seasoned entrepreneur and growth leader, Fayyaz Hussain brings over two decades of experience in scaling technology ventures and driving go-to-market strategies. Before joining Roombr, he held leadership roles at Paytm, iBibo Group, U2opia Mobile, and Times Internet, where he led digital growth, partnership programs, and market expansion initiatives across multiple geographies.

As Chief Growth Officer, Hussain will spearhead global expansion, strategic partnerships, and fundraising, supporting Roombr’s vision to make world-class digital learning infrastructure accessible to schools in India and beyond.

“We are entering a scale-up phase where speed, capital strategy and global expansion become mission-critical. Fayyaz’s leadership and track record in scaling tech companies makes him the ideal partner to drive our next chapter as we deepen our India footprint and expand into Southeast Asia and the Middle East,” said Satisha Naraharimurthy, Founder and CEO of Roombr.

“Roombr is one of those rare Made-in-India companies solving a foundational education challenge with global-class technology. I look forward to working with Satish and the team to unlock new markets, expand institutional partnerships, and scale impact globally,” said Hussain.
