IDFC First Bank has announced the elevation of Shreepad Shende as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), following the exit of TV Narayan. The move underscores the bank’s commitment to nurturing and promoting internal leadership talent.
Shende, who has been associated with IDFC First Bank for over seven and a half years, will now lead the bank’s branding, communications, and customer engagement strategies. His expanded mandate reflects the bank’s focus on strengthening its market presence and driving brand-led growth.
Shreepad Shende first joined IDFC First Bank in September 2019 as Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, a position he held until December 2021. He later transitioned to Head of Business Excellence & Corporate Strategy, where he played a key role in shaping strategic growth initiatives.
With his return to a marketing-focused leadership role, Shende will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing customer connect, communications strategy, and overall brand excellence for IDFC First Bank.
Before joining IDFC First Bank, Shende built a strong career across financial services and consumer technology. He served as Director of Marketing at Nokia, held leadership roles at ICICI Bank for nearly 12 years, and worked with Tata AIG Life Insurance and HDFC Bank, bringing in-depth expertise in brand management and customer strategy.
The appointment highlights IDFC First Bank’s vision to combine strategic business excellence with innovative marketing leadership, ensuring continued growth and stronger customer engagement.
