HT Media Group has announced the appointment of Swapnil Ravindran as Chief Revenue Officer – South, strengthening its leadership team to drive revenue growth across print, digital, and mobile-first platforms in the region.
With over 20 years of experience in media, advertising, and digital transformation, Ravindran brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. He will focus on accelerating business growth, enhancing client partnerships, and building innovative revenue strategies across HT Media Group’s portfolio.
Ravindran shared the news of his appointment in a LinkedIn post.
Before joining HT Media Group, he was with The Times of India as Associate Vice President and Response Head from November 2024 to August 2025. Prior to that, he spent over four years at InMobi, holding multiple leadership roles including Director Sales for West and South, Head of Sales for West and South, and Head of Sales for South.
Earlier in his career, Ravindran held senior roles at Kasturi & Sons, Yahoo, and Zee Network, along with a significant decade-long stint at HT Media Ltd, where he rose from Deputy Manager in 2005 to General Manager by 2015. He began his professional journey with Star India in 1999, followed by roles at The Times of India and Zee Network.
Speaking about his new role, industry experts believe that Ravindran’s diverse leadership experience across traditional and digital media will help HT Media Group strengthen its presence and revenue in the southern market.
This appointment reflects HT Media Group’s commitment to innovation, digital-first growth, and expanding its leadership footprint in the media landscape.
