Shashishekhar Mukherjee Steps Down as Head of Digital Marketing at Reckitt

Shashishekhar Mukherjee, a seasoned digital marketing leader, has officially stepped down from his role as Head of Digital Marketing at Reckitt after an impactful nine-year tenure. During his time at Reckitt (April 2016 – August 2025), Mukherjee played a pivotal role in driving digital transformation and shaping brand strategies for some of the company’s most iconic global brands.

Announcing his exit via LinkedIn, Mukherjee reflected on his journey that has spanned over 17 years across FMCG majors and leading media agencies, establishing him as one of the most respected voices in digital leadership.

Before joining Reckitt, Mukherjee was Digital Lead – Wellness & Oral Care at GSK (September 2015 – February 2016), where he worked on renowned brands such as Sensodyne, ENO, and Iodex.

He also had an extensive career at Mindshare, serving as Senior Director – Digital (2013–2014) and later as Partner – Digital (2015), leading digital strategies for flagship clients, including the PepsiCo portfolio.

Earlier, Mukherjee held senior roles across top agencies such as GroupM, Quasar Media (GroupM), Rediffusion Y&R, and Publicis Groupe, where he specialized in brand partnerships, digital strategy, and integrated communications. His career began in 2006 at Progressive Infotech as Assistant Manager – Marketing Communications.

With nearly two decades of expertise spanning FMCG, healthcare, consumer brands, and digital media, Mukherjee has been instrumental in building future-ready digital ecosystems and brand growth strategies.

As he steps away from Reckitt, the industry will be keenly watching what’s next for Shashishekhar Mukherjee, given his proven track record in driving digital innovation across global and Indian markets.
