Criteo Appoints Michael Komasinski as Chief Executive Officer

Criteo S.A., a leading commerce media company, has announced the appointment of Michael Komasinski as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors, effective February 15, 2025. Komasinski will take over from Megan Clarken, who is retiring and stepping down as CEO and Board member, as previously announced. To ensure a seamless transition, Clarken will continue in a senior advisory role.

Michael Komasinski brings over 20 years of expertise in AdTech and fostering global brand and retail partnerships. Renowned for delivering outstanding results at international organizations, he leverages technology-driven strategies to achieve profitable growth while promoting an inclusive workplace culture. Currently, he serves as CEO of the Americas, President of Global Data & Technology, and a member of the Group Executive Management team at dentsu, one of the world’s largest advertising holding companies.

Komasinski joined dentsu through its acquisition of Merkle in 2016, where he led the EMEA and Americas regions before becoming Global CEO of Merkle in 2021. During his tenure at dentsu, he spearheaded a technological transformation of its product offerings, integrating AI into products and platforms to maximize client value. He also defined dentsu’s data-driven technology strategy, which contributed to significant enterprise client wins. Additionally, Komasinski possesses extensive retail media expertise, having expanded Merkle’s retail media consulting practice and integrated it with dentsu’s leading media buy-side capabilities.

Before joining dentsu, Komasinski managed a team of over 14,000 employees across more than 50 locations in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC while at Merkle. He has held leadership roles at Razorfish, Schawk Retail Marketing, The Nielsen Company, and A.T. Kearney. Komasinski is also a board member of the Ad Council and participates in the client advisory boards of Meta and Microsoft. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and Philosophy from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
