Amanda Watts has been promoted by OMD Australia to Managing Director of Sydney, with immediate effect. Watts has worked for OMD for fifteen years; she started in Singapore and has spent the last seven of those years in leadership positions with OMD Sydney. She possesses strong leadership abilities within OMD’s national executive team and a track record of generating business growth for partners and clients.
In 2021, Watts moved up to General Manager from Head of Telstra and became a member of the national executive team of the agency. According to OMD Australia co-CEO Laura Nice, promoting Watts was one of the simplest choices Sian Whitnall and her had to make and acknowledged Watts’ important and continuous contributions.
One of Watt’s most notable accomplishments is her leadership of OMD’s Exec Next program, which is about to enter its third year. Watt will remain an integral part of OMD’s national executive team, answering to Kim Hamilton, Group Managing Director, NSW and ACT.
