Walmart has promoted Kushal Bhat to Director – People Strategy, marking a significant advancement in his accomplished career in human resources. With extensive experience spanning people strategy, organisational design, DE&I, capability development and HR business partnering for tech and product teams, Bhat will now play a pivotal role in shaping Walmart’s long-term people roadmap. His progression from Senior People Partner reflects the company’s trust in his ability to enhance workforce programs, build future-ready talent systems, and collaborate closely with leadership across Walmart’s technology-led divisions.

Prior to this role, Bhat made notable contributions to Walmart’s people initiatives and previously held influential HR positions at Razorpay, Flipkart, Acko, Bayer, and Snapdeal. At Razorpay, he oversaw HR for the Engineering, Product, and Data teams, strengthening performance frameworks, scaling org design, and driving culture-building programs. His earlier roles across leading organisations involved impactful work on DE&I initiatives, capability development models, compensation strategy, succession planning and award-winning employee experience interventions. His analytical approach and strong understanding of tech-driven talent needs equip him to guide Walmart’s next phase of people strategy evolution.
