UM has appointed its first chief performance officer, Louise Owen. She was formerly Astound Digital’s senior director of performance marketing. Owen is in charge of all digital operations for UM clients, including work for Kenvue, Moneysupermarket, Honda, and Levi’s. She will report to Kara Osborne and Chloe Hawking, who are the chief executives of UM and Kinesso, respectively, in the UK and Ireland.
IPG Mediabrands created the position in response to advertisers’ growing demand for digital transformation, which is being fueled by the development of artificial intelligence and the rapid pace of data and technology change. Owen’s job is to link media performance capabilities, data, and artificial intelligence (AI) between UM and performance marketing firm Kinesso to create effective brand activations. Based in UM’s London office, Owen serves clients both domestically and abroad.

As reported by Campaign,
Kara Osborne, Chief Executive Officer, UM UK, said,
“As we move from an era of data to an era of intelligence, having a deep understanding of data and tech – what works and what doesn’t – is paramount to our clients’ business success. This new role will allow us to truly harness the vast performance capability we have within UM, Kinesso and the wider IPG Mediabrands group, in order to take more innovative and impactful digital solutions to our clients.”
