Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) announced the expansion of its strategic partnership with Google Cloud to power India’s next big leap in artificial intelligence (AI). The collaboration aims to deliver cutting-edge, secure, and sustainable AI infrastructure, enabling enterprises, startups, and public sector organizations to innovate at scale.
For over a decade, Reliance and Google have worked together to shape India’s digital revolution, bringing affordable internet access to millions of users. This new partnership builds on that foundation, focusing on AI-driven transformation across Reliance’s diverse businesses and India’s fast-growing digital economy.
As part of the initiative, Reliance will design, build, and power a state-of-the-art AI cloud facility in Jamnagar, fully compliant with Google Cloud’s global standards. Backed by Reliance’s renewable energy leadership and Jio’s robust digital network, the facility will support high-performance AI workloads, while ensuring sustainability at hyperscale.

Google Cloud will deploy its AI Hypercomputer, an advanced and secure integrated AI stack that includes generative AI models, developer tools, and AI-powered applications. This will accelerate Reliance’s ability to modernize operations and deliver next-generation services across retail, telecom, energy, and financial services.
